Some love stories have been growing for a long time before we ever get to photograph them. Blake and Ashlynn’s began as high school sweethearts, and I’ve had the joy of knowing them since those days. Ashlynn has always been especially close to my heart, which made being there to document this chapter of their story all the more meaningful.
When Ashlynn told me she had envisioned a fall wedding in copper and navy, I knew it was going to be beautiful—but I never could have imagined just how perfectly it would all come together.
A cool, rainy Ozark fall arrived just in time for their wedding day, bringing with it some of the most breathtaking color the season had to offer. Golden leaves covered the landscape, copper details warmed every corner, and the florals from Samantha’s Garden were nothing short of incredible.
At Osage House Chapel, the changing trees framed Blake and Ashlynn as they promised forever to one another. From there, we made our way up the hill to celebrate with the people who have loved them through every season of their story.
There was something so fitting about their day being surrounded by all that autumn beauty—the changing leaves, the crisp air, the warmth of their celebration—because their love carries that same sense of history. It is a love that has grown, deepened, and endured through the years.
Sweet, steady, and everlasting.
A love story rooted in home.
Rooted in the seasons that brought them here.
And rooted in a love that has been growing since the very beginning.
